Christine "Tina" McCartney Born: August 28, 1955 in Chicago, IL Died: July 30, 2024 in Belvidere, IL Christine "Tina" McCartney, age 68, of Belvidere, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. She was born August 28, 1955 in Chicago to Richard and Katherine (Ellinas) Paradowicz. Tina graduated from Barrington High School in 1971. On August 29, 2008 she married Philip McCartney. Tina spent her career working at U.S. Can in Elgin as a steelworker and was later a CNA. She was a member of A.B.A.T.E. where she did motorcycle safety awareness in the Belvidere and Rockford area high schools during Driver's Education Classes. In her free time, she enjoyed motorcycles, horses and gardening. Tina will be greatly missed by her husband, Philip McCartney; her daughter, Denise (Tom) Rodkey; her sisters, Peggy Paradowicz, Bonnie Weech, and Nancy Moreno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
